- Solin 2020, nr. 5: interprets the first word as coh(ortis).
The X is in an ansa of the tabula. In 1870 the words EX VISO were seen on the painting, in large purple letters. They have disappeared. Presumably they had been applied "dry".Interpretation: "Calpurnius, night-watchman from the centuria of Ostiensis, from the sixth cohors, during the reign of Caracalla, in the year of consuls Laetus and Cerialis (= 215 AD), X". "Sebarius" = "sebaciarius", night-watchman, perhaps a colloquial form of the word (Solin regards it as another word with the same meaning). The X means "vota decennalia".

G0012 - A VISIT BY MARIUS AND ANNA

- Bakker 1994, 159 ff. and fig. 23, 258: MARIVS | ANNA | VII KAL MAIAS, leaf.Interpretation: Marius, Anna, VII Kal Maias = April 25th. On this day two religious feasts are known: the Robigalia and the Sarapia. Robigus was a deity protecting grain. His feast is a good candidate, because the Sacello belongs to a bakery, the Caseggiato dei Molini, I,III,1. The Sarapia on the other hand would refer to the Egyptian grain.
