DAVID_03 - MITHRAS

- Room 3, west wall, below David_02: h. of letters 1,5 - 3,5 cm. David and Gregori propose:

INV(icto) D(eo) (arrow pointing down) M(ithrae) (arrow pointing up) D(eo) M(agno) KRO | NO

"To the invincible god Mithras and the great god Kronos"

Interpretation: the Greek god Kronos was equated with the Roman deity Saturnus, the seventh and highest grade of initiation in the cult of Mithras.

DAVID_04 - MITHRAS

- Room 3, south wall: three monograms forming the letters M and A, and perhaps Y, for Mithras.
