Statue with a head of Tiberius

He is represented in heroic attitude with the chlamys around his loins, and partly gathered upon his left arm in which he holds the sceptre. He rests on the right leg to which the trunk of a tree serves as a support, while raising his left as if in the act of pronouncing an address. The head has never been severed from the rest of the statue. A fine sculpture.

Inv. nr. 349. H. 2.06. SO V, nr. 42. Excavated in 1856-60.
