Sarcophagus with a hunting scene

A Christian sarcophagus, in view of the formula in pace. To the left of the inscription is a hunting scene. Three men and dogs fight against a boar. To the right of the inscription stands a winged Genius with a lowered torch.

FILI(i) FECERVNT MATRI BEN(e) MER(e)N(ti) CIPIAE AVGETI QVAE VIXIT AN(nos) LXIII M(enses) V D(ies) XIIII HIC S(ita) IN PACE

The children made this for their well-deserving mother, Cipia Auge, who lived years 63, months 5, days 14. Placed here in peace.
