- We updated the bibliography (22 titles added).
We added a description of a visit to Ostia and Portus in May 1463 by pope Pius II to the section Ancient Texts. Scroll down to "Later authors". We added a link to a colloquium about Ostia on April 15-16 2013 in Rome and Ostia. December 2012

- We added scans of the plans from Scavi di Ostia I to the website.

- We updated the bibliography.

- In the section Ancient Texts we added a translation of the martyrdom of Bonosa at Portus to the Acta Sanctorum. The translation was kindly provided by Douglas Boin, Georgetown University.

- We added a link to a colloquium about Ostia on June 1st 2012 in Rome.
- We added a link to a website about Portus, made by Viviana Meucci.

- We updated the bibliography.

- As has been announced before, the Yahoo mailing list has been deleted. It was replaced by a Facebook group.
- We added a link to a lecture about the preservation of Ostia (provided by the AIRC).
- A considerable update of the page about the lighthouse of Portus, the location of which was discovered recently.

- We started changing the font of the website to Calibri. Mac-users who do not have that Microsoft font installed will see Lucida Grande.
- Several small errors were corrected, to which dr. L.B. van der Meer (University of Leiden) drew our attention.
- The "Computer Reconstruction of Ostia" at YouTube was renewed, with better quality sound.
- "Museum and ruins merged" was placed on YouTube, after we saw errors with the JavaScript version.
- We added links to several movies made by the American Institute for Roman Culture (see "Other movies").
