This is a row of shops to the south of the Horrea Epagathiana et Epaphroditiana (I,VIII,3) and the Piccolo Mercato (I,VIII,1). The former store building could originally be reached from the fourth room from the west (the doorway was later blocked), the latter from the third room from the east. In the back wall of the central rooms are remains of the republican Castrum wall. In these rooms are enormous relieving arches below barrel vaults. There are three external staircases. Next to the easternmost staircase is a well. In a room at the east end a lime-kiln was found.
Plan of the building. After SO I.
