Regio IV - Insula VI - Caseggiato a botteghe (IV,VI,1)

This is a Hadrianic building consisting of shops, halls and rooms on either side of a wide passageway (opus mixtum). Two shops face the Decumanus. In one of these are two dolia defossa.

Below the building a domus from the Augustan period was found. It was constructed in opus reticulatum. An atrium with a marble impluvium, tufa columns and two floors (a polychrome mosaic and a marble floor) of the domus have been preserved.

Plan of the building. After SO I.
