This building is on the corner of the Via di Cartilio Poplicola and the Via della Marciana (leading to the Terme di Porta Marina (IV,IX,1-2)). It was built in the Hadrianic period (opus latericium). Along both roads are shops. In the central part is a large courtyard with four rooms to the south. At the west end is a huge room with reinforcing piers in the corners. In the north corner is a basin. Further south, on the intersection of Via della Marciana and the Via Severiana, part of a bath has been excavated. |
