Above
the entrance of tomb 79 we find the following
inscription on a marble slab of 37 x 52 cms:

Tomb 79 was erected by Quintus Appius Saturninus,
son of Quintus, for himself and
his very menial wife, Annia Donata, for his children, his freedmen
and their children.
The monument could not be inherited, sold or changed by those who
did not belong to the family. The tomb measures 10 feet in breadth
and 12 feet in length.
There was a biclinium in front of the entrance.
