Tomb 84 is a tomb a cassone facing the Via Severiana.
The small tomb measures
2 x 0,62 mtr. Tomb 84 has a kind of facade with a marble slab of
26 x 42 cm
on which the following inscription is written:

. IVLIVS . PHILIPPVS
IASONI
. LIB .
B
. M . F
The tomb has been built by Caius Iulius
Philippus for Iason,
his freedman who has served him well.
Iason, his family name is not mentioned (as a slave he probably
had the name of his master), is the one who built tomb 74 for
his own son.
