Tomb 9 shares the southern wall with tomb 8 and the north wall,
for a small part, with tomb 10. The latter tomb lies slightly
back from the Via Severiana.
The entrance of this tomb too lies above street level.
The burial chamber has the same
plan
as all the other tombs in this necropolis.
Along the walls are large niches for inhumation.
The floor too was used for burials.
The original floor has been lost. However,
pilot excavations proved the existence of
individual burial places beneath tomb 9.
At the back of the burial chamber a podium has been built,
probably for sarcophagi.
