Painting of a Genius and two snakes (10106). To the same painting belongs a fragment of a painting of a snake (10084) (no photo of 10084, but it can be seen on Liedkte 2003, Taf. 24,47).

The display in the storage rooms suggests that the painting was found in the Caseggiato dell'Ercole (IV,II,2-4). Supplemento alla guida: "Provenienza ignota". However, the painting is documented on a photo of the German Archaeological Institute in Rome, taken in February 1938, more than two years before the excavation of the House of Hercules started.
Inv. 10106: w. 0.78, h. 0.58; inv. 10084: w. 0.91, h. 0.63.
