Triangular base of a candelabrum with Mercurius, Hercules and Apollo (13)
Found in the Santuario di Attis (IV,I,3).
Date: first century AD. H. 0.50.
On the lower part are sphinxes and rosettes. On each side is a deity: Mercurius leaning on a small pier, Hercules at an altar, Apollo holding a pointing stick and leaning on a small pier. In front of Apollo is a raven, the bird of prophecy, sitting on a sphere, symbol of the muse Urania.
