Architrave with the menorah (1883a)

From the Synagogue.
During the excavations of the Synagogue a marble relief was found that adorned the aedicula in which the scrolls of the Law (torah) were kept. The relief depicts the seven-branched candelabrum (menorah) together with a ram's horn (shofar), a bundle of three plants (palm, myrtle and willow) and a cedar fruit.
