Statue of Apollo with zither (3)

Found in the Domus del Protiro (V,II,4-5).
Date: second century AD. H. 1.29.
An original Roman statue, not a copy of a Greek statue. A parallel was found in Albano. On the head is a laurel wreath. The left arm is resting on a laurel bush with a snake. The zither is decorated with two griffins. In the right hand was probably a plectrum.
