Intaglio with a harbour scene

The depiction seems to be of the harbour and lighthouse of Claudius. Purchased from Bram Hertz in 1859.
Date: first to third century AD. W. 0.013, h. 0.016.

Gem of transparent white glass paste, engraved with a harbour scene: on the left is a mole or jetty; on the right is a lighthouse; in the harbour are two one-masted ships, a sailing-boat, and a fishing-boat, in which a man is fishing.
